Postoperative check-up at the hospital on a follow up schedule
There is no extra cost if any correction or additional checkups are required.
Surgical Procedure
The method must be tailored to the individual patients needs. The principal is to create a pocket at the chin and place an implant into the pocket. The incision may be placed in the crease lines under the chin or in the mouth. Some patients need more extensive surgery to re-position the bone of the chin. The operation is done under either local anesthesia (you are awake) or general anesthesia (you are asleep). You can choose. Most of the time this is an outpatient operation and a stay in the hospital is not needed. It is not unusual to combine this operation with a rhinoplasty to improve the facial profile.
Duration of Operation
Thirty minutes
Risks and Complications
The main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in feeling.
After Care
After surgery, the surgeon usually applies a dressing that will remain in place for two to three days. You will experience some tenderness. Post-operative discomfort can be controlled with prescribed medications. Chewing will probably be limited immediately after chin surgery, and a liquid and soft food diet may be required for a few days after surgery. Most patients feel a stretched, tight sensation after the surgery, but this usually subsides in a week.
Recovery
The recovery takes one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two.
Result
A classically-shaped face contoured to maximize prevalent norms of attractiveness and beauty.

FAQ : Surgical Procedure
What is Chin Augmentation?
A strong chin has long been considered a sign of physical beauty. Today, persons with weak or receding chins can have the condition corrected with a simple and routine outpatient surgery that involves adding a synthetic prosthesis to the existing chin structure. Some may require a surgical procedure in which the chin bone is moved forward to give them the desired appearance. The procedure may be used in conjunction with other procedures such as a facelift or facial liposuction which completes the desires of the patient to enhance their physical appearance.
How much pain is there?
The amount of pain depends on the method used, and varies from person to person. Local anesthetic is used to reduce pain during the surgery.
