Marionette Lines
The lines of aging or skin folds on either side of the chin & in front of the jowls. These lines are caused by the presence of a ligament between the skin in this area and underlying deeper structures. As adjacent skin descends with aging, the skin directly over the ligament stays in place, creating this fold.
Mastectomy
A surgical procedure in which all or part of the breast is removed to prevent the spread of cancer
Mastopexy
Plastic surgery performed to lift the sagging breast. Breast sagging is usually treated surgically by removing excess skin, resulting in a firmer breast. Because the problem is related to the skin and breast tissue rather than muscle, this problem cannot be helped by exercise alone.
Megacolon
A severely swollen large intestine, causing severe constipation and abdominal bloating; may be present at birth or develops later.
Mentoplasty
Surgery to change the size or shape of the chin.
Metaidioplasty
An individual whose clitoris responds sufficiently to testosterone may have the clitoris released from its hood and the shaft "finished" along the bottom side, completing the foreskin. The resulting small penis is also raised about one centimeter forward on the body. The labia are also raised and fused in the center to form the scrotum through use of testicular implants. This procedure retains natural erectile capacity. The patient can elect to have the vaginal cavity closed and/or the urethra extended through the penis.
Mid-facelift
A surgical procedure in which the skin is pulled up toward the lower eyelid, and excess skin is removed. This has occasionally been referred to as the vertical facelift.
Neovagina
A "vagina" that has been surgically constructed. In M>F transsexuals, this is done by 'reversing' the skin of the penis, into a surgically created opening.
Nipple reconstruction
One of several surgical techniques used to reconstruct a nipple after injury, disease or prior surgery. The most common technique utilizes adjacent skin to form the central portion of the nipple areolar complex. The outer areolar portion can be matched to the unaffected side by employing tattoo techniques.
Oestrogen
The main Female sex hormone. Responsible for the development of secondary sex characteristics, and also for regulating the menstrual cycle in Females.
Orgasm
An intense sensation that occurs at the climax of sexual excitement that is accompanied by rhythmic muscle contractions and intense pleasure, followed by release of sexual tensions. In men, orgasm is usually accompanied by ejaculation.
Otoplasty
Surgery of the ear.
Pectoralis major
The major muscle of the chest or "pecs."

Of or pertaining to the penis.
Penis
The primary male sexual and reproductive organ through which both urine and semen pass.
Periareolar
Around the areola, which is the dark area around the nipple on the breast. Indicates the location of one of the possible incisions for breast enlargement, namely, around the lower one-third to one-half of the areola.
Phalloplasty
Construction of a penis using skin, nerves, veins, and arteries from other parts of the patient's body. The labia may be used to construct the scrotum. Clitoral nerves are usually preserved and may eventually grow into the new penis. Testicular implants and implants to obtain an erection can be inserted in subsequent procedures. Urethral extension is also possible.
Pigment (blood)
Any organic coloring in blood or a derivative of it. Hemoglobin (a protein that contains iron) when combined with oxygen gives blood its red color.

One of the female sex hormones.
Progesterone
Another Female sex hormone. In the normal female, this hormone works inconcert with Oestrogen.
